Attorney Stephen Allinger, Jr. Honored as One of Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite (2022)

2

For two decades, Business North Carolina magazine has honored state attorneys through its publication of Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite, which compiles a list of top lawyers in their respective disciplines. In the Family Law category, Attorney Stephen Allinger Jr. has been voted as one of the top North Carolina lawyers (2022).

Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite Methodology

Winners are selected by their peers as ballots are sent to every member of the North Carolina Bar living in-state. Participants are asked one question: “Of the Tar Heel lawyers whose work you have observed firsthand, whom would you rate among the current best in these categories?”

For the 2022 selection process, DataJoe Research facilitated the internet research and peer-voting process. DataJoe ensured that each published winner had a current, active license status; they also investigated lawyers with infractions from the state regulatory board. If an attorney did not have an active license or was disciplined for an infraction, they were excluded from the list.

It is important to note that voters are not permitted to vote for themselves. Participants can select members of their firms but only if they pick out-of-firm lawyers in the same category; the latter votes are weighted more heavily.
